FMES endeavours to support model engineers and clubs through personal contact as well as through the internet. There are three main ways that we do this: attending exhibitions where we can ‘meet and greet’ model engineers and those who may have an interest in model engineering; holding or supporting events at affiliated clubs and organising competitions to encourage participation. We are always seeking opportunities to expand our ‘reaching out’ activities, especially into other areas of model engineering, and would welcome volunteers who want to get involved in co-ordinating such activities on behalf of the FMES.
