Constructing an A1 Peppercorn live steam Locomotive

Building any live steam locomotive yourself is a significant project requiring skill, tools, facilities and most of all patience. A pacific locomotive is not for the faint hearted. The following articles describe how, Clive Patten, a member of the Worthing Model Engineering society undertook the construction of an excellent ex LNER A1 5″ gauge live steam locomotive starting in 2013. The model is now nearing completion.
