The Federation receives income from Walker Midgley Insurance Brokers in respect of policies taken out by affiliated clubs and societies.

Federation Insurance Scheme
The provision for Insurance to cover Model Engineering activities both in private and in public is essential, whether it is to provide security against claims for damage, theft, accident and other events that are a potential feature of everyday life. We are pleased to have a long-standing relationship with Walker Midgley Insurance Brokers who can provide a policy with selectable features to cover most aspects of Model Engineering activity. This policy is available to affiliated member clubs and more detail can be found if you are able to log in.
If you are a member of an affiliated club, then ask your club officers to investigate the possibilities. You can contact Walker Midgely directly of course using the information below, however, access to this scheme requires you to be a club affiliated to the Federation of Model Engineering Societies.

Federation Insurance Scheme
Have you thought about using the Federation Insurance Scheme?
There has been a change to the administration of the Federation’s Insurance Scheme during 2020.
It is still arranged by Walker Midgley Insurance Brokers with policies issued from early 2021 underwritten by Travelers Insurance Company Limited.
The cover available for members, again all on one policy, includes:

- Personal Accident
- Home Workshop
- Products Liability
- Public Liability
- Garden Railway/Portable Track Liability
Renewal dates may be at any time during the year and cover can be amended also at any time during the year.
The Walker Midgley trade stand also attends many exhibitions and steam rallies. They will be pleased to answer any questions that you may have – or just simply go and have a chat with them!
Do not forget that the Federation will receive a commission from Walker Midgley from the policies they write on our scheme, thereby providing much-needed income for the Federation.
