Mizens Railway – Visiting Locomotive Rally 2024

Our 15th “Visiting Locomotive Rally” will be held on the 10th / 12th May, 2024 and we would like to invite you to join us on this occasion.
See the program for the running slots during the weekend on our extensive 7 ¼” track which is a mile long. Work has continued to be done on the site since our last event including the replacement of a number of sections of track.
Standard gauge and Narrow gauge type locos are all welcome and are not restricted to steam. Obviously the usual boiler certificates etc. will need to be produced. If you have a Scale Traction Engine these will also be welcome.
The Sunday afternoon will be our regular public running session from 14:00 to 17:00. Where possible we like to have these services operated by our visiting locos as an alternative attraction to our public visitors.
As has been the practice in the past tea / coffee will be available throughout the weekend.
There will be space for campers/caravans overnight and secure covered overnight accommodation will be available for a fair number of locos.
Visitors (with or without locomotives) will be welcome to join us over this rally, but we will need to know in advance who will be coming and when, for catering purposes etc.
If you are coming as a group, please nominate a Group Leader as they are who we will communicate with.
